Listen to Jackie Brown have a discussion about her daughter Marley who is child with Down Syndrome.
Only pure joy and positivity were felt during this interview and photoshoot about disabilities and stigmas.
There are a few disabilities that are caused by chromosomal defects that are not all Down Syndrome (DS). Those who happen to be born with an extra 21st chromosome have what is called DS, which happens to be the most common chromosomal abnormality in United States.
Unfortunately people who happen to have disabilities tend to face some type of stigma.
The stigma can affect loved ones and the individual themselves. Since people who have disabilities in the United States were treated unfairly the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed in 1990.
How are you creating inclusiveness and eliminating stigmas toward people with disabilities?
